Ormea is a town in the Province of Cuneo which is locate in the heart of the Ligurian Alps. It has a population of 1,751 and it is part of the consortium of municipalities in the mountain area of Alto Tanaro Cebano Monregalese.
The town will be hosting this weekend two traditional food and wine events: the Ormeasca Style Lasagna Festival and the Buckwheat Polenta Festival.
Ormeasca Style Lasagna Festival,
Saturday 20th July 2013,
from 6.30 pm onward
During this traditional event people can taste the typical dish of the Ormea cuisine dressed with the tasty Raschera d’Alpeggio cheese. Several events are organized along the afternoon, while later on, in the evening, music and dance will entertain the public.

Buckwheat Polenta Festival

Traditional feast organized to taste the buckwheat polenta in front of the Saracen tower that overtops the small village of Barchi. Music and dance liven up the evening.
